Upcoming Courses: Fundamentals of Real Estate Development and Capital Raising

Two five-week online courses designed for real estate entrepreneurs to design, underwrite, and finance a local real estate project, and prepare for raising retail and institutional capital.

This June, we’re launching Thesis Driven’s most entrepreneurial courses, Fundamentals of Real Estate Development and Fundamentals of Capital Raising, both live in New York and online.

How to Develop Real Estate

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to conduct market analysis and assess local opportunities? What key factors should be considered?

  • How to evaluate the financial feasibility of a development project, including costs, revenue projections, and expected returns?

  • How to secure debt and raise equity from investors? How to structure a deal that attracts capital?

  • How to negotiate purchase terms, financing, and leases for the best project outcomes?

  • How to select and manage contractors and providers to bring your vision to life on time and on budget?

  • How to close out construction and lease up?

This course will run for 5 weeks on Fridays from 12-1pm Eastern time
from June 2nd to July 4th, online.

How to Raise Retail and Institutional Capital

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to understand 5 different investor types, including what they look for in a deal, how much they invest and when, what controls they require, etc.?

  • How to decide what 5 common investor structures is right for your deal? What are the nuances and variations of each?

  • How to set up best practices for positioning and go to market strategy, including team members and partners?

  • How to source debt, structure your terms, and negotiate with lenders?

  • How to frame an equity offering, connect with institutional, high net worth, and family office investors? How to negotiate your term sheet?

This course will run for 5 weeks on Fridays from 1-2pm Eastern time
from June 9th to July 11th, online or
a two day bootcamp June 16th and 17th, live in New York.
