Next Wednesday, June 3, Thesis Driven is hosting a live, interactive workshop on AI in architecture, engineering, and construction.

AI has already reshaped real estate operations. Design and construction are next, but the dynamics are substantially different. The stakes are higher, the cost of errors is greater, and wholesale automation is a non-starter in a regulated environment where liability follows every decision. Firms that learn to use AI to iterate faster and catch mistakes earlier will have a meaningful advantage over those still watching from the sidelines.

This workshop is a practical, jargon-free primer on where AI is delivering real results in AEC today, and how to build the internal capacity to adopt it without disrupting live project workflows.

Here’s what the workshop covers:

How AI actually works in AEC
A plain-English breakdown of the AI stack, from foundation models to AEC-specific tools and systems of record. How to classify vendors, spot vaporware, and understand where durable value accrues.

Concept design and early feasibility
Rapid massing, program test-fitting, zoning constraint analysis, and early energy modeling. How AI enables faster option testing and earlier owner alignment at the phase where changes are cheapest.

Design development and documentation
Where AI is already compressing drawing production, change propagation, spec drafting, and cross-discipline coordination. Why fewer rework cycles matter more than faster drafting when it comes to fees and risk.
 
Pre-construction and estimating
Automated takeoffs, cost estimation, scenario modeling, and schedule optimization. How AI compresses the time between design decisions and cost certainty.

Construction and delivery
Computer vision for site monitoring and safety, progress tracking, and document abstraction for RFIs and submittals.

Implementation and what’s next
Where to start, how to assess data readiness, how to evaluate vendors, and a clear-eyed view of what is likely to matter over the next 24 months.
